A quick comment:      Back to G-1: Review D-II      Main Page

This is my first Starscream toy.  I bought it on Aug. Vii, Mmi and it cost me $XLVIII, Besides Soundwave and Rumble (blue), he's my third favorite decepticon.

Affiliate: decepticons | Subgroup: none | Function: air commander | Type: F-15 eagle jet|

Starscream's motto and tech specifications:

| STR 7 | INTL 7 | SPD 9 | ENDN 7 | RNK 5 | CRG 8 | FRPW 7 | SKL 7 |

" Conquest is made of the ashes of one's enemies. "

Seeks to replace Megatron as leader. Ruthless, cold-blooded, cruel... considers himself the most sophisticated and handsome of Decepticons. Believes Decepticons should rely more on guile and speed rather than brute force to defeat Autobots. Fastest flyer of group, can reach Mach 2.8 and an altitude of 52 miles. Shoots cluster bombs and null-rays which disrupts the flow of electricity. Very good at what he does, but sometimes overrates himself.

R-1 Starscream in its Original condition:

starscreamorig.jpg (71317 bytes)1 - Starscream  in its brand new condition from the box.  This is a Japanese version and it is exactly 100% as the American version (same size, material, style, color, texture etc.).  The only difference is that the instruction and box is written in Japanese.

2 - Back of the box art shows the 1984 Battle Scene Box Art.

3 - Here's how the content looks once the box was removed.

4 - These are all the contents that were included in the box/ package/ card: " 1" jet body,  " 2" main wings, " 2" small rear fins, " 2" small vertical fins, "2" hands, " 2" missile launchers, " 2" long missiles (aka gun), " 2" small missiles, " 1" landing gear, trading card, "1" sticker sheet, "1" instruction sheet, and "1" miscellaneous text sheet.

R-2 Pre-Applied Decals/ Stickers:

There are 5 Pre-Applied sticker that had been applied onto Starscream.  The first two are located on either side of the main wing.  It's that long red strip of sticker.  The third and forth stickers are located on either side of the vertical tail fin.  It's that red and white sticker.  The last pre-applied sticker is the Decepticon Rub Sign logo located just above the cockpit canopy.

Sticker Sheet:

DecalStarscream.jpg (94134 bytes)There are 10 registered numbering of stickers on the sticker sheet.  But in reality it's actually 14 stickers since some of the decals/ stickers are grouped or paired together and labeled it as one.  These registering numbering do not include the Pre-applied stickers.

R-3 Starscream in Vehicle Mode: Supersonic Fighter

starscreamveh.jpg (36528 bytes)In vehicle mode, Starscream is a hot F-15 Eagle fighter jet.  Each of the Decepticons F-15 jet has the ability to open their cockpit canopy.  If you are purchasing the loose figure of Decepticons Seekers, be sure to check the canopy stability.  The canopy should be able to stay up on its own and not move back down.  To add the excitement, the missile launcher also fires missile especially  if you own the Japanese version.  In jet mode, the two smaller missiles, not the big long missiles, are inserted into the missile launcher.  Don't lose these two missiles or your Starscream jet looks funny.

R-4 Starscream in Robot Mode

starscreamrob.jpg (47706 bytes)In robot mode, Starscream is not so sleek or beautiful as his toy vehicle mode or his cartoon counterpart.  These Decepticons Seeker jets are good for display and not for playing since they don't have too much playing value.  Other than shoulder articulation and the feet, there are no other movement.

R-5 The Seekers in Comparison:

seekers.jpg (65683 bytes)Other than the differences in paint application and some stickers, these seekers body appearance are exactly identical to one another since they were all based from the same mold.  Despites coming from the same mold, Starscream for some strange reason has the loosest shoulder joint than the other two.  The latter Starscream action figure which was released in Takara Collection edition #9, Anime Starscream, served as a huge improvement from ability to hold weapon to cartoon colors.  Oh yeah, the terminology Seekers was invented by Transfans to describe the Decepticons Air Supremacy for Starscream, Skywarp, and Thundercracker.  Its meaning is very straight forward and come from the word, "Seek."  And since the Decepticons jet mission is to seek and destroy the Autobots, then this terminology Seeker is very much appropriate for them.
